Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed post-secondary education in Business Administration and Office Certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience working with the public and providing customer service to a diverse clientele

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • The candidate should have the ability to effectively manage confidential and sensitive information
  • The candidate should have the ability to understand, explain, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures
  • The candidate should be legally entitled to work in Canada, the ability to travel within the province, with possible overnight stays

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search
  • The candidate should provide a satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check, provide a satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check
  • The candidate should hold a valid Class 5 full-stage Manitoba Driver’s Licence, experience performing administrative and/or clerical duties, including but not limited to reception, answering phones, records management, filing, and data entry
  • The candidate should have experience performing accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and/or creating financial reports
  • The candidate should demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team, effective verbal communication skills and effective written communication skills
  • The candidate should have experience working with SAP or other equivalent financial management software and the ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in French

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to deliver administrative and clerical support to facilitate the operations of Rural and Northern Child and Family Services
  • The candidate should be able to manage the switchboard and perform reception duties professionally
  • The candidate should be able to oversee records management, maintaining and archiving both physical and electronic files, process accounts payable efficiently and accurately
  • The candidate should be able to handle inventory management and ensure proper tracking of supplies and materials
