Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Grade 12 education
Experience: Candidates should have three years’ transit experience in an office environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should demonstrate the ability to make decisions within established parameters
- The candidate should plan, organize, and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- The candidate should communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- The candidate should demonstrate the ability to perform arithmetic calculations rapidly and accurately
- The candidate should establish and maintain effective working relationships
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have knowledge of timekeeping functions, transit routes, and the collective agreement
- The candidate should demonstrate knowledge and skill in the operation of standard office equipment, including a computer with word-processing and spreadsheet software
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to schedule bus operators in accordance with the collective agreement to ensure adequate and efficient staffing for service requirements
- The candidate should be able to summarize operators’ time worked to support accurate payroll processing
- The candidate should be able to prepare operators’ work schedules to cover the following day’s service needs
- The candidate should be able to monitor radio transmissions to stay informed about operations and respond promptly to issues
- The candidate should be able to assist bus operators by providing necessary information and support, assist the Charter Coordinator with relevant tasks
- The candidate should be able to perform other related duties as assigned to support operational efficiency
