Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a valid Standard First Aid and CPR C certification or be willing to obtain it within the first six months of employment
Experience: Candidates should have experience and the ability to perform physical work in a variety of climatic conditions
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess WHMIS Certification, possess good interpersonal and communication skills for working in a multi-tasking customer service environment
- The candidates should have computer experience in Outlook, Word, Excel, and ActiveNet software, and experience in cash handling
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to provide up-to-date information to customers both over the phone and in person at the front desk, ensuring a professional and friendly manner at all times, educate customers on facility rules and by-laws, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to City rules and regulations
- The candidate should be able to follow and adhere to all Divisional Cash Handling policies and procedures, including site-specific procedures and inventory controls, prepare end-of-shift and end-of-day Daily Facility Reports
- The candidate should be able to maintain a clean environment by performing routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, trash collection, and disinfecting, as well as assist with heavy cleaning like stripping and waxing floors
- The candidate should be able to assist with program and rental setups and tear downs, ensure a safe environment by clearing snow, enforcing rules, performing safety checks, and reporting any safety concerns
- The candidate should be able to complete painting and special projects as identified by full-time staff, inspect facility functions and report issues to full-time operations staff, perform Opening and Closing procedures for the facility
- The candidate should be able to conduct building inspections, including entrance logs, weekly fire inspections, AED inspections, first aid kit checks, and emergency systems inspections generator
- The candidate should be able to assist with workplace inspections such as JHSC and QMS monthly inspections, monitor and submit service requests (FPM) and notify supervisors of issues
- The candidate should be able to maintain internal bookings using internal calendar systems, troubleshoot operational issues, including resetting electrical breakers, AV troubleshooting, and BAS controls
- The candidate should be able to access, view, and print ACTIVE Net bookings for external rentals, act as a liaison with various internal and external stakeholders
