Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed Grade 12
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to type accurately at a speed of 40-60 words per minute, exercise tact, discretion, and confidentiality, along with reliability and sound judgment
- The candidates should be able to gather and compile statistical information efficiently, communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess knowledge of office practices and procedures, including records management
- The candidates should be proficient in using computer software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and electronic mail
- The candidates should be familiar with standard office equipment including fax machines and photocopiers
- The candidates should have a sound understanding of the branch’s programs and structure, along with good knowledge of the department and general knowledge of the city
- The candidates should have knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to deliver resident-centered care tailored to individual medical, nursing, functional, and psychosocial needs, including specialized, restorative, supportive, and palliative services for individuals with dementia, disabilities, and other complex health conditions
- The candidate should be able to provide courteous and efficient receptionist services by managing incoming calls and in-person inquiries, offering typing and clerical support, and ensuring the security of office accommodations and equipment after hours, with a focus on resident safety and engagement
