Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of an Honors Bachelor Degree
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of management and leadership experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, audit, and financial practices and processes
- The candidates should have knowledge of finance, budget, human resources, and administration policies, procedures, and processes, knowledge of relevant governing legislation including collective agreements
- The candidates should have knowledge of office as well as broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
- The candidates should have knowledge of office productivity software and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, MS Co-pilot, Power BI, and technology devices
- The candidates should have knowledge of cultural competency and diversity in a business context, knowledge of supervisory practices, knowledge of computing equipment and information technology
- The candidates should maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing professional publications, hold an accounting designation (CPA) with membership maintained in good standing
- The candidates should have a minimum of five years of finance, budget, and administration experience with solid knowledge of GAAP (NPO GAAP is an asset), internal controls, and auditing principles
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to manage all aspects of the faculty’s financial portfolio, including both short-term and long-term resource allocation and financial control
- The candidate should be able to oversee the day-to-day financial operations within the Office of the Dean
- The candidate should be able to conduct financial audits and in-depth analysis to interpret data, identify trends, and provide informed advice to the Dean on a regular basis
- The candidate should be able to serve as part of the faculty’s management team, collaborating with the Dean, Associate Deans, and other office managers
- The candidate should be able to oversee IT operational support and manage the faculty’s IT budget
- The candidate should be able to support faculty operations while maintaining a cross-campus perspective aligned with university-wide planning and budgeting priorities
- The candidate should be able to collaborate effectively with the University’s Planning and Budgeting Office and its Director to advance institutional initiatives
