Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program with related experience
  • The candidates should have active or be eligible for registration and a practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to make clinical decisions and advise team members on complex cases, providing leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and effective client care
  • The candidate should be able to ensure physiotherapy practice aligns with Alberta legislation, professional standards of practice, code of ethics, and AHS policies and guidelines
  • The candidate should be able to coordinate day-to-day operations in an assigned service area and monitor care delivery to identify service
  • The candidate should be able to support medical staff with caseload management, conduct chart audits, and deliver feedback and follow-up to team members
  • The candidate should be able to participate in program development, operational planning, and represent the department on committees or program initiatives
  • The candidate should be able to make decisions regarding staffing levels, workflow, and caseload prioritization in collaboration with managers and healthcare providers
  • The candidate should be able to access and utilize province-wide clinical expertise and resources to enhance practice and quality of care
  • The candidate should be able to leverage the Provincial Electronic Medical Record (Connect Care) system to collaborate in real time and share patient information securely with senior clinicians
