Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in business and public administration
Experience: Candidates should have extensive experience providing executive administrative support

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate a high level of discretion and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with legal, procedural, regulatory, and statutory guidelines
  • The candidates should possess expert-level skills in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams and be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • The candidates should provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check
  • The candidates should have including preparing correspondence, making travel arrangements, coordinating meetings, taking minutes, anticipating needs, and following up on actions)
  • The candidates should have experience handling complex, detailed, and highly sensitive information with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • The candidates should have strong written and oral communication skills, with significant experience drafting professional letters, emails, memos, reports, and other business documents
  • The candidates should have excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and remain composed and flexible under pressure
  • The candidates should have strong teamwork skills and be able to work both independently and collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals
  • The candidates should be fluently bilingual in French and English, both written and oral, experience working within a government or legal structure
  • The candidates should have experience with organizational financial planning, including budgets, forecasting, cash flow management, accounting, and financial reporting
  • The candidates should have experience providing front-line customer service in a public-service setting

  • The candidate should be able to provide specialized administrative and professional support to the Manitoba Ombudsman and senior executive team in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • The candidate should be able to manage highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
  • The candidate should be able to work independently and exercise initiative and diplomacy when handling confidential matters, projects, and communications with senior government officials and external stakeholders
  • The candidate should be able to assist with customer service inquiries and support corporate administrative functions under the direction of the Manager of Administration
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills to effectively handle competing priorities
  • The candidate should be able to maintain composure, effectiveness, and adaptability under pressure in dynamic and challenging situations
