Requirements:

Experience: Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience in IT Security
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, be effective in diverse settings, working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds
- The candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of Internet protocols, network architecture, and security technologies including encryption and authentication (SSL, PKI, IPSec, SSO)
- The candidates should be able to effectively review and validate security scan results and incident findings
- The candidates should have a deep understanding of network architecture, operating systems, cloud services, and infrastructure, and be able to troubleshoot and secure complex environments
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess at least two cybersecurity certifications from organizations such as ISC2, CC, CISSP), Azure Security, Proofpoint, Crowdstrike, Microsoft, or Mitre, or an equivalent certification
- The candidates should have working knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, Email Security Solutions, proxy systems, load balancers, and networking platform
- The candidates should have a strong background in incident response, malware analysis, threat hunting, and security architecture
- The candidates should be proficient in vulnerability assessment and management, including scanning, analyzing results, prioritizing remediation, and tracking progress
- The candidates should have demonstrated experience securing systems and data in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), particularly in a healthcare setting
- The candidates should be adept at triaging, resolving, and escalating support tickets efficiently
- The candidates should possess strong oral and written communication skills, be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments
- The candidates should have experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environments, be bilingual in French and English or possess proficiency in a second language
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to oversee the full lifecycle of security tools and solutions, including implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support, execute the hospital’s Cyber Security program, ensuring consistent adherence to best practices and policies
- The candidates should be able to conduct in-depth security log analysis to identify and investigate potential threats such as unauthorized access, malware, phishing attempts, and system vulnerabilities
- The candidates should be able to develop and execute robust incident response plans in accordance with CAMH’s incident management standards
- The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with policies and guidelines, conduct thorough investigations into cyber threats using advanced techniques and tools to identify and mitigate risks
- The candidates should be able to coordinate and work with outsourced vendors providing information security functions, ensuring compliance with contracted service-level agreements IDS, Firewall, virus control, SIEM
- The candidates should be able to coordinate with organizational stakeholders to design and deliver cybersecurity awareness training for staff, design and develop periodic security reports to provide insights into the hospital’s security posture and support proactive risk mitigation
- The candidates should be able to continuously monitor emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies to maintain a resilient cybersecurity posture
- The candidates should be able to consult with staff to ensure that security is incorporated during the evaluation, selection, and deployment of applications and infrastructure
- The candidates should be able to support security projects and provide guidance on security-related matters for other IT initiatives, provide mentorship to other team members
