Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a high school education
Experience: Candidates should have at least one year of experience in the operation of preventative maintenance and routine servicing of medium industrial or agricultural equipment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have relevant to the position; or experience in driving and towing with medium transport vehicles
- The candidates should note that additional directly related experience may be considered as an equivalent substitute for education on a one-for-one basis
- The candidates should possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with Air Brakes (Q-endorsement), also possess a valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brakes (Q-endorsement)
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deliver and allocate water pumping equipment throughout the Peace Region, while also providing support to other areas of the province
- The candidates should be able to perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure continued operational efficiency
- The candidates should be able to identify and communicate any concerns related to equipment or personnel to the supervisor in a timely manner
- The candidates should be able to conduct trailer repairs that meet vehicle safety standards
- The candidates should be able to wire trailers and perform repair and maintenance on trailer suspensions, axles, brakes, and tires in compliance with highway safety standards
