Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of valid Standard First Aid and CPR C certification or be willing to obtain it within the first six months of employment
Experience: Candidates should have previous experience and the ability to perform physical work in a variety of climatic conditions
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have WHMIS certification, demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills for working in a multi-tasking customer service environment
- The candidates should have experience using Outlook, Word, Excel, and ActiveNet software; experience in cash handling
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide up-to-date information in response to customer inquiries both in person and over the phone, ensuring a professional and friendly manner at all times
- The candidates should be able to educate customers on facility rules and by-laws, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to City policies and regulations
- The candidates should be able to follow and adhere to all Divisional Cash Handling policies and procedures, including site-specific processes and inventory controls, prepare end-of-shift and daily facility reports
- The candidates should be able to maintain cleanliness of the facility by performing tasks such as mopping, sweeping, trash collection, disinfecting, and assisting with heavy cleaning duties like floor stripping and waxing
- The candidates should be able to assist with set-up and tear-down for programs and facility rentals, ensure a safe environment by clearing snow, enforcing facility rules, conducting safety checks, and reporting any safety concerns
- The candidates should be able to complete painting and other special maintenance projects as assigned by full-time staff, check facility functions and report any issues to full-time operations staffThe candidates should be able to perform opening and closing procedures for the facility
- The candidates should be able to conduct building inspections, including entrance logs, weekly fire inspections, AED inspections, first aid kit inspections, and emergency systems checks generator, assist with monthly Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) workplace inspections and Quality Management System (QMS) inspections
- The candidates should be able to monitor and submit service requests through FPM and notify appropriate supervisors, manage internal bookings using internal calendar systems
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot operational issues such as resetting electrical breakers, AV system issues, and managing BAS (Building Automation System) controls
- The candidates should be able to view and print information in ACTIVE Net for managing external rentals, act as a liaison with various internal and external stakeholder
