Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience with shipping, receiving, validating, and/or stocking incoming inventory
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent customer service skills, be comfortable working in a regulatory environment
- The candidates should be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- The candidates should have strong organizational skills to perform effectively in a challenging and detail-oriented work environment
- The candidates should be able to exercise sound judgment when refusing service to intoxicated and underage customers
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have considerable experience working in a high-volume retail environment or licensed establishment providing customer service
- The candidates should have experience balancing register cash, receipts, and float at the end of a shift, experience using a computerized point-of-sale (POS) system
- The candidates should possess education, training, and experience that is equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above
- The candidates should demonstrate a commitment to taking action and achieving results, exhibit strong client focus and a willingness to lead change and innovation
- The candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including initiative, professionalism, a positive attitude, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to serve the public in retail sales of liquor while delivering excellent customer service
- The candidates should be able to assist the team in receiving and handling stock efficiently and accurately
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate strong product knowledge and apply effective merchandising skills
- The candidates should be able to operate a computerized point-of-sale (POS) system proficiently
- The candidates should be able to provide surveillance to identify and deter underage individuals, intoxicated persons, and shoplifters
- The candidates should be able to perform janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness and safety in the store environment
