Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision and their own hand tools
- The candidates should have the ability to work in a team-based environment and work overnight shifts
Other Requirements:
The candidates should have knowledge of plant and equipment operations, good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot, repair, and install processing equipment, applying electrical knowledge to ensure efficient repair and replacement outcomes
- The candidates should be able to program and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs), read and interpret electrical power and control system wiring and schematics
- The candidates should be able to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot motor controls, temperature sensors, and safety sensors
- The candidates should be able to work safely and effectively with electrical systems ranging from 24V to 575V, including 3-phase systems
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret logic and flow diagrams, carry out oral and printed work requests and apply appropriate corrective actions
- The candidates should be able to perform regular work orders and accurately account for inventory and labour using a computerized maintenance management system
- The candidates should be able to understand and adhere to all plant food safety and health and safety policies
