Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Operations Management and Supply Chain Management
Experience: Candidates should have 5+ years of Warehouse Management experience in a unionized environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be available to work extended hours and shift work, demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal relationship building, employee coaching, and development skills
- The candidate should be customer focused, demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have combined with equivalent. Alternatively, the candidate should have 7+ years of relevant industry experience (for non-degree holders)
- The candidate should possess an excellent understanding of warehouse management procedure, proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
- The candidate should be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) upon employment
- The candidate should possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP)
- The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- The candidate should have outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, possess strong people skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to manage a team of unionized employees while respecting their collective agreement
- The candidates should be able to represent Logistics, being the prime management contact for our customers, oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations
- The candidates should be able to implement and ensure adherence to policies and procedures, carry out weekly and monthly departmental self-audits to ensure compliance
- The candidates should be able to maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling
- The candidates should be able to coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding
- The candidates should be able to lead employees to meet Logistics expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment
- The candidates should be able to provide performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action
- The candidates should be able to conduct crew briefings, one-on-one meetings, union meetings, and have difficult conversations, ensure daily KPIs are on target
