Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completed secondary school graduation
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial and senior role
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in personal income tax preparation
- The candidate should have experience in back office operations or within a securities firm or similar financial services organization; preference may be given to applicants with at least 1 year of experience in this area
- The candidate should have experience working in an office setting; preference may be given to applicants with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- The candidate should have experience working with strict financial requirements, managing a demanding workload, and handling shifting priorities
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to assist in coordinating the preparation, processing, and filing of PGT clients’ tax returns and credits
- The candidate should be able to ensure all tax-related activities comply with PGT policies, provincial regulations, Canada Revenue Agency requirements, and applicable international standards
- The candidate should be able to maintain accurate records and documentation for all tax filings to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance
- The candidate should be able to identify opportunities to maximize tax benefits and credits for clients
- The candidate should be able to monitor and track filing deadlines to ensure all returns and credits are submitted on time
- The candidate should be able to liaise effectively with internal departments, external agencies, and stakeholders to resolve tax-related inquiries or issues
- The candidate should be able to stay informed about changes in tax legislation and regulations that may impact client filings and benefits
