Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed a Personal Financial Planning (PFP) designation
Experience: Candidates should have 3 years of experience in financial planning and investment sales

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be a mutual funds certified professional with current accreditation and in good standing for MFDA licensing requirements (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
  • The candidate should have successfully a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, proven networking, client acquisition, and interpersonal skills, including experience building and maintaining Centres of Influence (COIs)
  • The candidate should be goal-oriented and entrepreneurial, able to work independently as a self-motivated entrepreneur with minimal supervision and as part of a larger team
  • The candidate should have extensive knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends, economic conditions, and the regulatory environment
  • The candidate should have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to meet clients and prospects within the designated district

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to execute business development plans for prospects and existing clients within the mass affluent market
  • The candidates should be able to identify additional investment business development opportunities and facilitate the implementation of investment solutions or referrals to appropriate partners
  • The candidates should be able to provide client-centric investment solutions through a financial planning framework, aligned with Global Sales Principles
  • The candidates should be able to conduct outbound communications and proactive calling to prospects to maintain top-of-mind awareness for future business opportunities
  • The candidates should be able to conduct complimentary needs analysis across several financial statements, including competitor statements
  • The candidates should be able to participate actively in local professional and community events and associations to develop and expand their network
  • The candidates should be able to identify opportunities to deliver community information sessions and financial seminars to grow prospects
  • The candidates should be able to build and maintain a market profile in the assigned market area
  • The candidates should be able to network with investment industry specialists while managing a small budget for independent marketing-based activities
