Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed Grade 11
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative role and working with the public
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should have excellent organizational skills and an ability to work in a multi-task environment
- The candidate should demonstrate effective decision-making and judgement, format documents in various software programs
- The candidate should be able to set up and maintain records and information management systems, both hard copy and electronic
- The candidate should have the ability to work effectively in both a team setting and independently with minimum supervision
- The candidate should demonstrate leadership abilities, the ability to relate positively and effectively with a wide diversity of people
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have completed a college diploma in Administration, Recreation, or a related field, combined with a minimum of 6 months of experience
- The candidate should hold a current Standard First Aid certificate, hold a current CPR – 2-rescuer certificate
- The candidate should hold a current AED Operator certificate, completed AODA Customer Service/IASR Training
- The candidate should demonstrate expertise with computers and an ability to develop a comprehensive understanding and expertise with corporate software applications, including Word, Excel, Presentations, Class, Electronic Cash Management Systems, and Microsoft Outlook
- The candidate should have knowledge of office and administrative procedures, possess word processing skills, highly developed and effective communication and customer service skills
- The candidate should have an understanding of cash management and process systems and possess problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to support the Recreation Facility, Arts Centre, or assigned programs in areas such as cash management, clerical and administrative tasks, and technical duties
- The candidate should be able to assist with program registration and provide accurate program information to customers
- The candidate should be able to offer program support and general supervision to ensure smooth operations
- The candidate should be able to deliver quality service to all customers, contributing to a positive client experience
- The candidate should be able to contribute to building a healthy, inclusive, and vibrant City by supporting access to recreation and cultural places, programs, events, and services
- The candidate should be able to assist in overseeing Buildings and Facilities Management to improve service delivery integration within City facilities
