Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed Grade 12
Experience: Candidates should have experience performing manual labor
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to complete work in a variety of site conditions
Other Requirements:
The candidate should have a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a safe driving record related cleaning and maintenance experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform manual and semi-skilled cleaning tasks within City parks washrooms
- The candidate should be able to clean and mop floors, clean wall surfaces and clean toilets and sinks
- The candidate should be able to apply various cleaning solutions as directed, perform litter pickup and remove refuse
- The candidate should be able to demonstrate safe work practices and work alone for extended periods
- The candidate should be able to demonstrate competent teamwork skills when necessary and communicate effectively, particularly when dealing with the public
- The candidate should be able to complete required work regardless of facility condition, requiring sufficient physical strength, stamina, and coordination
