Its MAI Innovation and Portfolio Management team drives research and development to improve blood safety and system efficiency. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed secondary education
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years laboratory work experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to follow instructions precisely, prepare and maintain accurate records, and carry out tasks effectively
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have certification as a laboratory assistant, possess technical skills including MS Office and the ability to learn new systems and programs
- The candidate should have good oral and written communication skills, experience with blood component processing
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to draw on their knowledge and experience in laboratory functions to support the planning and effective operation of the netCAD Blood Research Facility
- The candidate should be able to utilize attention to detail to ensure all procedures and experiments are carried out according to Operating Procedures or Study Protocols and in compliance with GMP requirements
- The candidate should be able to use excellent organizational skills to maintain appropriate documentation and records in compliance with Canadian Blood Services operational procedures and work instructions
- The candidate should be able to apply proactivity to perform routine maintenance of equipment and work areas to ensure safety and quality of blood products, perform other duties
