Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be eligible to register prior to the start date with the College and Association of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CANNN), with annual re-certification
  • The candidate should have the required certifications at the time of hire, preferably, or complete the remainder (as directed) within the first 12 months in the role, and as required to maintain certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Fetal Monitoring, Emergency Nursing Pediatric Care (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), ALARM/ESW/FHS (or equivalent), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) or Mental Health First Aid
  • The candidate should possess assets such as, EKG Interpretation, Critical Incident Stress Management, Pelvic Examination Training, Cross-Cultural Training and Specialized Nursing Certificates
  • The candidate should understand that this is a highly sensitive position and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check along with a clear Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be eligible to register prior to start date with the College and Association of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CANNN), with annual re-certification
  • The candidate should possess one or more of the following certifications at time of hire, with the remainder (as directed) to be completed within the first 12 months in the role and maintained

Benefits:

  • The candidates will get Northern Allowance $20891.00 per year
  • The candidates will get benefit pension plan
