Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a high school diploma
Experience: Candidates should have two years of experience working in Continuing Care

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have knowledge of the culture and traditions of northern peoples in the Beaufort Delta region and be able to work effectively in cross-cultural situations
  • The candidate should possess strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • The candidate should be skilled in customer service techniques when interacting with clients in person or through other means of communication, while maintaining client privacy and confidentiality
  • The candidate should be committed to actively upholding and consistently practicing personal diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness, as well as safety and sensitivity approaches in the workplace
  • The candidate should have lived experiences of the cultures of the Indigenous people of the Beaufort Delta Region
  • The candidate should possess and a minimum of one (1) year of paid or volunteer experience working with elders or other vulnerable populations, or in an administrative capacity
  • The candidate should be aware that an equivalency of Grade 11, understand that equivalent combinations of education and experience, provide proof of immunization in keeping with current public health practices and hold current First Aid and CPR training
