Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of some high school education
Experience: Candidates should have one year of experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have some high school education and one year of related experience, or directly related experience based on one year of experience for one year of education
  • The candidate should possess a Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent, along with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
  • The candidate should hold a current Standard First Aid and CPR Level “C”/AED Certificate
  • The candidate should have experience with hand and power tools, including good working knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and safety of small equipment
  • The candidate should have experience working in custodial, landscaping, or similar positions
  • The candidate should have chainsaw certification, possess exceptional communication skills and be comfortable dealing with difficult customer interactions or complaints

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to perform lawn maintenance and carry out minor repairs on facilities, perform routine custodial and cleaning duties within park facilities to maintain cleanliness and safety
  • The candidate should be able to respond to in-person inquiries and provide accurate information regarding area amenities and park conditions
  • The candidate should be able to perform routine and preventative maintenance on park infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment, complete trail and signage projects efficiently and to standard
  • The candidate should be able to report all maintenance concerns in a timely and appropriate manner
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate familiarity with and adherence to all relevant Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies, procedures, and protocols, including the Facility Emergency Response Plan
  • The candidate should be able to complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense claims, onboarding and offboarding paperwork, and required online training courses
