Position: Derrick worker – oil and gas drilling

Salary: $76,650 to $95,000 annually (to be negotiated) 84 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: St. John’s, NL
Work setting: Offshore drilling rig
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to train and supervise floor hands, assistants and helpers
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain drilling mud systems and pumps
- The candidates should be able to operate hydraulic pumping systems
- The candidates should be able to record mud flows and volumes and take samples
