Salary: $60.00 to $70.00 hourly (to be negotiated) for 35 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be physically demanding and repetitive taskers

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should be accurate, client focus, should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, values and ethics, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain, and lower grade mobilizations
• The candidates should be able to apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body
• The candidates should be able to assess clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests and propose treatment plans
• The candidates should be able to explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients
• The candidates should be able to maintain records of treatments given
• The candidates should be able to massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body
• The candidates should be able to suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques
