Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be 16 or older in age
- The candidates should be able to engage with customers and employees to provide a visible presence and deter theft
- The candidates should be able to apprehend and detain suspects involved in theft or fraudulent activities, following company and legal protocols
- The candidates should be able to prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a Security Guard License
- The candidates should possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- The candidates should have knowledge of local laws and regulations related to asset protection and loss prevention
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to ensure store security by making daily patrols of the facility, validating doors and showcases are secure and functioning properly
- The candidates should be able to make external arrests when necessary
- The candidates should be able to investigate instances of financial and physical shrink and communicate findings to Store Leadership, and in cases of an internal case matter, communicate to the Market Loss Prevention Manager first
- The candidates should be able to support store evacuation procedures in case of fire or other emergencies
- The candidates should be able to participate in store
- The candidates should be able to conduct/support investigations as assigned, including, but not limited to, instances of internal theft and/or dishonesty, matters relating to external organized retail crime, and cases as assigned through Walmart Canada Global Ethics, in a timely and thorough manner and in accordance with Walmart Canada policies
- The candidates should be able to effectively communicate information from different sources and clarify issues for others, often presenting different perspectives
- The candidates should be able to conduct surveillance and monitor CCTV cameras to identify and prevent theft and fraudulent activities
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with law enforcement and testify in court as needed during criminal proceedings
