Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be experienced in handling repetitive tasks and have a strong attention to detail
• The candidates should be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking and proficient in bending, crouching, and kneeling

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be recognized for their dependability and known for their reliability
• The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their work and be collaborative team players

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, engage in storytelling activities, and order supplies and equipment
• The candidates should be able to support early childhood educators in promoting the development of children and assist in keeping records
• The candidates should be able to engage children in various activities, maintain daycare equipment, and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
• The candidates should be able to prepare snacks, arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
• The candidates should discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings and plan/organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
