Location: 1055 West Hastings St, Vancouver, BC, Canada
Shifts: Night shifts and weekend when required

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have 5+ years of experience running crews in a supervisory role and experience in commercial or residential construction projects

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should expect a regular workweek of 44 hours, with overtime potentially required to meet construction deadlines
  • The candidates should know that work will primarily be outdoors in various weather conditions, and should be comfortable working at heights

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices and read blueprints
  • The candidates should have proficiency in using construction management software and tools for scheduling and documentation
  • The candidates should be familiar with various construction methods, techniques, and materials
  • The candidates should possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to maintain an organized and safe work environment, including cleanliness and adherence to safety regulations
  • The candidates should be able to provide leadership and mentorship to the construction crew, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and optimize labor, equipment, materials, sub-contractors on-site and ensure work is done according to drawings and specifications
  • The candidates should be able to keep accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, photographs, and documentation of any changes or issues encountered
  • The candidates should be able to perform daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings and inspections
