Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning

Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis, Work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Reference required, Basic security clearance

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be non-smokers and comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, able to handle heavy loads, and willing to work overtime as required
• The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of a physically demanding job and adept at efficiently handling repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be comfortable with tasks involving sitting, standing for extended periods, and walking, able to work under pressure, and have the ability to lift loads up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

• The candidates should demonstrate punctuality in meeting deadlines and commitments, have a strong focus on client satisfaction, and be known for their dependability in the workplace
• The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, excel in oral communication, and be flexible in their approach to tasks
• The candidates should demonstrate initiative in their work, exercise sound judgment in decision-making, and be highly organized in managing tasks and responsibilities
• The candidates should be reliable in meeting job requirements and be effective team players, contributing positively to collaborative efforts

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, administer medications, and assist clients in water (i.e., pool)
• The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, and assume full responsibility for the household (in the absence of the householder)
• The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• The candidates should be able to plan therapeutic diets and menus, provide companionship, shop for food and household supplies, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
