Salary: $20.00 hourly for 35 to 50 hours per week

Location: Timmins, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, On Call
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer and valid driver’s licence

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Transportation/travel experience:  Local and regional
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and uniform 
Security and safety: Criminal record check, bondable, driving record check (abstract), and drug test

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be capable of meeting tight deadlines and able to work under pressure
• The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and capable of handling heavy loads
• The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and be able to handle weights of up to 45 kg (100 lbs) as well as weights of more than 45 kg (100 lbs)

• The candidates should exhibit flexibility, exercise good judgment, and be organized
• The candidates should demonstrate reliability, be team players, and be accurate

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand efficiently and operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products safely
• The candidates should demonstrate professionalism in customer service consistently and be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch promptly
• The candidates should be able to keep a record of items received and delivered accurately, prepare, package, and restock goods diligently, and transport and handle dangerous goods safely
• The candidates should be able to load and unload goods efficiently, sort packages accurately, and follow directions and read maps effectively
• The candidates should be able to use maps and other trip planning aids proficiently, record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems meticulously, and pay and receive payments for goods accurately
• The candidates should provide excellent customer service consistently and be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle diligently
