Salary: $18.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Child care centre and nursery school
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Child development worker (ECE level 2), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, medical exam, and vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding tasks and have attention to detail
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and exhibit dependability
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills and exercise good judgment
- The candidates should be reliable team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and provide opportunities for children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, and assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
