Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Hydroponic horticultural products

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should have experience in other vegetables and melon farming (except potato) and be comfortable working in confined spaces
• The candidates should be able to work at heights and be prepared for wet or damp working conditions
• The candidates should be tolerant of odors and be able to work in hot environments
• The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated environments and should be non-smokers
• The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be prepared for repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and physically demanding tasks
• The candidates should possess hand-eye coordination and demonstrate attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
• The candidates should be prepared for a large workload and be willing to work overtime when required

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to clean crops, perform deleafing, grade crops, and clean greenhouses
• The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables, mix fertilizer, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, and cull vegetables
• The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops, harvest crops, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry, examine produce for quality, and prepare it for the market
• The candidates should be able to assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants
