Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: Candidates should have 6 months experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should know the use of a knife and Machine operators need to know how to operate packaging machines
- The candidates should be able to withstand constant standing, frequent walking, occasional bending, and lifting packaged meats weighing up to 25 lbs
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and customers
- The candidates should possess reading skills that include basic reading, such as daily instruction sheets regarding products to be prepared
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform the preparation, assembly, packaging, and sanitation duties to produce food service and related products within the store
- The candidates should be able to assemble food service items as per standard recipes, portions, and format while maintaining a specified productivity level
- The candidates should be able to slice and weigh meat and cheese products
- The candidates should be able to package and label prepared product and display finished goods for sale
- The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize all equipment and fixture surfaces as per provincial and company/health safety standards
- The candidates should be able to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and follow standard company and provincial regulations pertaining to food safety, dress code, and sanitary procedures
- The candidates should be able to perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
