Shift: 75 hours bi-weekly (8-hour shifts Days and Evenings) and (150 hours in a 4-week period)

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, or a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology or a related Graduate Degree in a clinical discipline
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience within the last five (5) in an addictions setting, with a focus in individual, family and group counselling
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should occasionally lift objects less than 10 lbs and rearrange furniture between 10-25 lbs for group meetings, workshops, or presentations
- The candidates should occasionally conduct counseling sessions and be required to sit for long periods with limited opportunity to move about
- The candidates should perform fine finger/precision work on a regular basis
- The candidates should maintain a high level of attentiveness and vigilance when working alone and during counseling sessions to ensure safety or to detect impending danger to self and the client
- The candidates should regularly be exposed to time pressures and occasionally exposed to interruptions due to crisis situations
- The candidates should participate in same-day clinics, Doorways single session counseling, and TAO (therapist-assisted online)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have current registration with their professional association
- The candidates should possess knowledge of best practices, programs, services, and community resources
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers, patients, and their families in a one-to-one and/or group environment
- The candidates should have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- The candidates should use a private vehicle as a condition of employment
- The candidates should have a satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide addictions treatment services to individuals, couples, and/or family members referred to the Addictions Services Opioid Treatment Hub and Outpatient Program within the Mental Health and Addictions Program
- The candidates should be able to complete comprehensive assessments, offer education sessions on addictions issues, formulate treatment plans, and design follow-up with clients
- The candidates should be able to provide these services through individual, couple, family, and group therapies, as well as through the provision of Community Services
