Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration
Experience: Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a related field or similar organization

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should have good organizational skills, the ability to manage several priorities, and the capacity to meet multiple, tight deadlines
  • The candidate should demonstrate discretion, diplomacy, and tact in communications with internal and external stakeholders

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be fluent in English and French, excellent written and verbal communication skills in both official languages
  • The candidate should have a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts receivable principles
  • The candidate should have knowledge of SAP, advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, functions, and data handling, as well as other Microsoft products
  • The candidate should have advanced knowledge of sales taxes, strong attention to detail and concentration skills, good analytical skills and a strong ability to solve a variety of problems
  • The candidate should demonstrate strong judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness , excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to review the status of debtor accounts to determine amounts due, considering payment methods, contractual agreements, and other factors
  • The candidates should be able to recommend various collection alternatives based on current practices, drawing on their expertise and judgment
  • The candidates should be able to clear, post, and reconcile payments received via cheque, electronic transfer, or credit card
  • The candidates should be able to review aging reports, reconcile accounts, and process journal entries accurately and efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to ensure effective communication with the sales department and other relevant stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to perform other duties as required to support the overall SSC Financial Services department, including but not limited to credit card management, account payables, and billing
