Shifts: Day
Work setting: Day care centre or nursery school
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be physically demanding and a non smoker
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to his needs.
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
