Position: AIR CARGO SCREENER

Salary: $16.65 hourly for 20 hours per week, merit increases once a year
Employment Type: Part time, Permanent employment
Location: OTTAWA, Ontario, K1G 3W1, Canada
Shifts: Monday – Friday 4 PM – 8 PM
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work overtime and in a fast-paced environment
- The candidate should be physically strong, able to lift up to 70 lbs
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and also in an organized way
- The candidate should be efficient, outgoing, dependable, reliable, and also a team player
- The candidate should have efficient and excellent communication skills
- The candidate must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- The candidate should have experience with computers (MS Office applications)
- The Candidate should have previous law and security education or experience as an asset
- The candidate should have a clear criminal background history
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to screen packages through an X-Ray machine, ETD, and physical research
- The candidate should safeguard that only authorized personnel enter the screening area (UPS Challenge Policy)
- The candidate should assist with maintaining documentation and record keeping
- The candidate should work within a time-sensitive and fast-paced warehouse environment
- The candidate should attend regular compliance training
