Salary: $17.35 to $19.65 hourly

Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Shifts: Morning, daytime, night and/or overnight
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have previous airline and/or freight handling experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should sort, load, and unload baggage and cargo from flights, and service lavatories and potable water per company standards
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent team player competencies and a willingness to adapt to the changing nature of aviation
- The candidates should be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, prioritize safety, demonstrate attention to detail, follow company procedures
- The candidates should work under the direction of the Station Leadership to ensure all aspects of aircraft handling are completed safely according to specific company policies & procedures
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should obtain Criminal Record Check from their home country For international applicants (in Canada for less than 5 years), applicants from India should obtain a Police Clearance Check from BLS Canada
- The candidates should work as a team member in a safe, efficient, and professional manner, adhere to published uniform standards and requirements, and follow all safety guidelines and workplace procedures
- The candidates should be able to apply for and secure an Airport Restricted Area Pass (RAIC) and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- The candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada, possess verbal & written communication skills, be energetic, outgoing, understanding, and accepting of change
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to connect and disconnect ground power/bridge power from aircraft and marshal aircraft to and from the gate and parking stands
- The candidates should be able to wing walk arrivals and departures, operate belt loaders, baggage tractors, and carts, and complete aircraft grooming
- The candidates should be able to perform aircraft towing and/or brake riding, complete daily inspections of operating equipment, and submit equipment deficiency reports as required
- The candidates should be able to participate in snow removal, equipment cleaning, and housekeeping as required, attend all required training sessions, and actively participate in company safety programs
- The candidates should be able to take direction from ramp shift leads/supervisors, the Station Manager, or Coordinator, and also complete customer baggage and/or cargo deliveries as required
