Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience in hog production
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneously
- The candidate should be able to wear proper PPE and comply with safety requirements and lift 25 kg
- The candidate should be available for weekend, holiday hours, and alarm attending on a rotational basis
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong oral and written communication skills
- The candidate should have a valid driver’s license and the ability to get to and from work located in a rural area, live and teach the Maple Leaf Leadership Values
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to assist with all areas of production, including the feeding and general care of pigs
- The candidate should be able to maintain herd health and ensure a proper environment for the pigs
- The candidate should be able to perform pressure washing and prepare rooms as, carry out general maintenance, cleaning, and clerical duties
- The candidate should be able to maintain door charts and inventory trackers accurately, order feed and medication
