Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be experienced in handling heavy loads and capable of managing a large workload
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and be physically fit to handle physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be accustomed to working under tight deadlines
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate in their work and dedicated to client focus
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral and written communication, and exercise good judgment in their decision-making
- The candidates should exhibit reliability in their work
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- The candidates should be able to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- The candidates should be able to prepare tenders and quotations, build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- The candidates should be able to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, schedule and co-ordinate work on sites, and supervise other workers
- The candidates should be able to estimate costs and materials and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
