Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Apprenticeship training: Level one apprenticeship training, Level two apprenticeship training, Level three apprenticeship training, Level four apprenticeship training
Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional electrical devices, Dry cell and storage batteries, Motors and controls
Area of specialization: Emergency power system, Fire alarm system, Communications system, Lighting system
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Electrician Trade Certification, Working at heights training, First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be organized, initiative, should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be professionalism in customer service, and be able to install underground wiring and cables, install, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes, design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations
  • The candidates should be able to splice, join and connect wires, design and construct low voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase service for single or multimeter installations, test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
  • The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and isolate faults, connect power to audio and visual equipment, install surface mount and/or overhead cables
  • The candidates should be able to install power generation, stand-by power generation and power conditioning systems, ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs
  • The candidates should be able to renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures, read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
