Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Earned doctorate degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Specialization in physics: Geophysics
Geophysics specialization: Earth physics
Credentials: Provincial or territorial licence

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be prepared for a large workload
  • The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods and capable of meeting tight deadlines

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to advise on research matters and advise students on course and academic matters and career decisions
  • The candidates should be able to conduct laboratory sessions and research in the field of specialization
  • The candidates should be able to conduct seminars and discussion groups and direct research programs of graduate students
  • The candidates may serve on faculty committees dealing with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues, and prepare special lectures and presentations for conferences and consultations
  • The candidates should be able to prepare, administer, and grade assigned work, teach one or more university subjects, and perform administrative tasks
