Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Ph.D. degree in Economics or in a related area with a focus in Economics
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have specialize in Financial Economics, International Trade, or Macroeconomics
- The candidates should pursue innovative and independent research, and they should establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should provide evidence of research excellence, which can be demonstrated by an innovative job market paper with a significant contribution to the literature
- The candidates should provide evidence of research excellence through strong endorsements from referees of high standing, emphasizing the candidate’s exceptional research capabilities
- The candidates should possess research and teaching interests that complement and enhance our existing departmental strengths and a record of excellence in research and teaching
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to teach undergraduate courses in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto Mississauga
- The candidates should be able to effectively communicate economic concepts and theories to undergraduate students, facilitating a clear understanding of course material
- The candidates should be able to develop and deliver engaging lectures, workshops, and other instructional activities that cater to diverse learning styles
- The candidates should be able to design and implement assessments, such as exams, assignments, and projects, to evaluate students’ understanding and mastery of the subject matter
