Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates must have Ph.D. degree in Economics or in a related area with a focus in Economics, with a clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching in Economics
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should provide evidence of research excellence, which can be demonstrated by a record of sustained high-impact contributions and publications in top-ranked Economics and field-relevant journals, the submitted research statement, evidence of an externally funded program of research, presentations at significant conferences, awards and accolades, and other noteworthy activities that contribute to the visibility and prominence of the discipline, as well as strong endorsements from referees of high standing
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sustain and lead innovative and independent research at the highest international level, maintaining an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program
- The candidates should be able to teach undergraduate courses in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto Mississauga
- The candidates should be able to become a full member of the Graduate Department of Economics of the University of Toronto, undertaking graduate teaching and supervision of doctoral students at the St. George campus
