Salary: $25.00 to $40.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Windsor, NS
Shifts: 08:00 to 17:00
Transportation information: Own transportation, valid driver’s licence, drive manual transmission vehicle
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as registered Apprenticeship certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Tools, steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification and Driver’s License (Class 3 or D)
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail and have manual dexterity
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate, client-focused, and dependable
- The candidates should have good judgment, be reliable, and be able to work as a team player
- The candidates should be punctual
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit and discuss work with supervisor
- The candidates should be able to review work orders and road test motor vehicles
- The candidates should be able to test automotive systems and components and adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- The candidates should be able to perform scheduled maintenance service and complete reports to record problems and work performed
