Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a college diploma (DEC) in avionics technology
Experience: Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in avionics maintenance

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should possess analytical ability to interpret and modify technical schematics and plans
  • The candidate should demonstrate adaptability to ongoing technological advancements in the aviation sector
  • The candidate should exhibit organizational skills and the ability to prioritize actions in urgent situations
  • The candidate should have flexibility to work rotating shifts (day, evening, and night)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have strong technical skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting avionics issues
  • The candidate should hold an E license or be in the process of obtaining it, knowledge of Transport Canada certification standards.
  • The candidate should have proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, an excellent command of English, both spoken and written (French an asset), be a resident of Edmonton

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to diagnose, modify, and repair avionics systems in compliance with relevant standards and procedures
  • The candidate should be able to assemble or modify various electrical cables according to technical specifications
  • The candidate should be able to develop and interpret plans, drawings, and schematics related to avionics systems, test and inspect wiring to ensure integrity, making necessary adjustments
  • The candidate should be able to incorporate updates to technical drawings in compliance with safety standards
  • The candidate should be able to analyze and respond to system modification requests, provide technical support to operational teams
  • The candidate should be able to perform other related duties as assigned in connection with avionics systems
