Food specialties: Breads and rolls, Desserts and pastries, Donuts and muffins, and Cake decorating
Work setting: Supermarket or bakery department, Relocation costs covered by employer, In shop

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors accurately for tasks that require color differentiation, demonstrate attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in a fast-paced environment, and possess hand-eye coordination skills for tasks requiring precision and accuracy
  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads as required by the job, possess manual dexterity for tasks that require intricate hand movements, and be willing to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines
  • The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of a physically demanding role, be prepared for repetitive tasks as part of their job responsibilities, be able to stand for extended periods during the workday, and work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate accuracy in their work, ensuring precision and correctness in all tasks, and exhibit a strong focus on meeting client needs and ensuring client satisfaction
  • The candidates should demonstrate dependability, reliably fulfilling their duties and commitments, and exercise good judgment in decision-making and problem-solving situations
  • The candidates should be reliable, consistently delivering high-quality work, and be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common objectives

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders, bake mixed dough and batters, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods, draw up production schedules, and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  • The candidates should be able to requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, prepare special orders, inspect kitchen and food service areas, operate machinery, and organize and maintain inventory
  • The candidates should be able to oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
