- The candidates should be 16 years of age or older
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls
- The candidates should be able to ensure that the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business, ensure the merchandise is properly signed and priced
- The candidates should be able to adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
- The candidates should be able to adhere to food safety and handling procedures and follow sanitation and cleaning procedures
- The candidates should be able to follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
- The candidates should be able to prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of bakery products
- The candidates should be able to ensure all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner
