Drift Restaurant based in Halifax, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Bartender. Drift Restaurant offer a carefully curated selection of wines, craft beers, and artisanal spirits that complement their culinary creations. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or a craft beer enthusiast, we have a libation to suit your tastes. We are not only a dining establishment but a vital contributor to the city’s culinary scene. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $15.00 to $17.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to organize and set up bar, clean bar area and wash glassware, serve food or snacks
  • The candidates should be able to clean draft beer system, advise on wine selection
  • The candidates should be able to supervise food and beverage servers and other staff, irain staff
  • The candidates should be able to inform customers regarding contents of cocktails or other drinks, order bar stock and maintain inventory and control of bar stock
  • The candidates should be able to collect cash, credit/debit cards or other payment for beverages, operate cash register
  • The candidates should be able to record and balance beverage sales, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons, prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages
