Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort, lounge or night club

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 year
Credentials: Certificates, licenses, memberships, courses and Serving It Safe program certification
Security and safety: Criminal record check

  • The candidate should be client-focused
  • The candidate should possess efficient interpersonal skills and should demonstrate excellent oral communication
  • The candidate should show initiative and should be organized
  • The candidate should exhibit reliability and should be a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to organize and set up the bar area efficiently
  • The candidate should be able to clean the bar area and wash glassware meticulously
  • The candidate should be able to provide recommendations on drink selections to customers effectively
  • The candidate should be able to collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other forms of payment for beverages accurately
  • The candidate should be able to operate the cash register smoothly
  • The candidate should be able to operate the video lottery terminal proficiently
  • The candidate should be able to record and balance beverage sales accurately
  • The candidate should be able to store beverage and food products appropriately
  • The candidate should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns professionally
  • The candidate should be able to enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations diligently
  • The candidate should be able to prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages skillfully
  • The candidate should be able to take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons efficiently
