Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 hourly (to be negotiated) for 40 to 44 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Credentials: Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, client focus, dependable, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to do professionalism in customer service, review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
  • The candidates should be able to clean and maintain work space, instruct apprentices, replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
  • The candidates should be able to file, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired, mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
  • The candidates should be able to remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • The candidates should be able to apply primers and repaint surfaces, repair or replace interior components, repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
  • The candidates should be able to inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling, mix paint, blend and match colors, operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
  • The candidates should be able to straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
