Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional oven, Grill
Credentials: Food Safety Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus and reliable
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables, clear and clean tables, trays and chairs, operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
- The candidates should be able to place dishes in storage area, sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, keep records of the quantities of food used
- The candidates should be able to portion and wrap foods, serve customers at counters or buffet tables, stock refrigerators and salad bars
- The candidates should be able to receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
- The candidates should be able to remove kitchen garbage and trash, sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
